Review on 🦸 Power Up with the Intel Core i7-10700K Avengers Collector's Edition Processor - 8 Cores up to 5.1 GHz Unlocked LGA1200 (Intel 400 series chipset) 125W by Athit Methasate ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

As always, Intel took the path of increasing megahertz and for good reason! Because I still remember my Stump 4 of the distant 2022s, which tore everything and everyone with its power, working at a frequency of up to 4 GHz. After the transition to multi-core systems, an important component was lost, the number of cores was increased and the clock frequency was reduced. For a long time I sat at 3.2 GHz without the possibility of overclocking. And here all 8 cores and 16 threads - you can overclock to 5.1 GHz with a turbo boost each core with a powerful Tmax resource - up to 100 degrees. With proper cooling, this beast will solve any of the most difficult tasks at maximum speed. Naturally, a motherboard for at least 10 phase power is also needed for it, I personally took Asrock z490 steel legend. All the same, the consumption of the processor by sensors at 4700 reaches 120 watts, with a 12-volt supply it is 10 amperes! A weak motherboard will fail pretty quickly, of course, if you drive to the maximum. This processor is definitely for overclocking, it was created for those who care about overclocking and is automatically overclocked by a motherboard with turbo boost turned on, so you need to take care of good water or tower cooling for it. The price for him is simply folk. I took the OEM version for 30k, for such a processor, which will definitely be the top in games, and in applications it will be the top, not far behind 10900k, but it will be faster than AMD counterparts with the same number of cores. I chose between AMD and Intel for a long time, in the end I came to the conclusion that if I want a top from AMD, it comes out much more expensive than a top from Intel. In general, whoever is still thinking, then definitely take it, the processor is excellent, if you have extra money you can pay extra and take 10900k and you need to take a more powerful motherboard, for example, Taichi or, in extreme cases, msi tomahawk

Pros
  • The beast processor, after its 4 core from 3.2 GHz, switched to 8 cores i7 10700k on the z490 chipset clocked up to 5.1 GHz. Programs are loaded instantly, according to subjective sensations, the increase in speed is probably 3 times. But he does not need cooling for children. After tests, I came to the conclusion that the optimal overclocking to 4.7 GHz on a be quite dark rock pro cooler at 250 watts. Keeps the temperature at 4.7 GHz at 100% load of all cores in the region of 70-72 degrees. I rendered video in Premiere at 95% of the processor load, it gave out 70 degrees maximum, in general 65-70 at 95% of the load of all cores.
Cons
  • Process technology and heat dissipation. Due to the small area of the crystal, it is more difficult to remove heat. Otherwise, there are practically no shortcomings.
