Review on WFCO WF8945PEC WF 8900 Converter Charger by David Crowder

I bought this to replace a roasted Elixir Industries ELX-45 (no longer available). I found this product as a direct replacement. The main difference I noticed is that the ELX-45 has a metal body instead of the plastic body of this product. It was easy to install and took about 1 hour to fully replace. The knockout holes are in similar if not identical locations (no problem with wires that are too short). No switches were included. In this product I was able to use the same circuit breakers as in the ELX-45. For those who have used this to replace another product, my circuit breakers were the Thomas & Betts TBBD type. This product is supplied with two 30A main fuses. No other fuses were included, but I was able to reuse fuses from the ELX-45. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm not sure how the plastic case and lid will hold up over time and heat. The product was brown in color and I found it aesthetically acceptable if not an improvement. As long as I'm happy!
