Review on πŸͺœ SINMEIRUN16.5FT Aluminum Telescoping Ladder: Portable Multi-Purpose A-Frame Folding Ladder, Adjustable for Household Daily Use, 330lb Maximum Load by Steve Campbell

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Requires TWO people when using 16ft ladder for safe adjustment.

This is NOT a basic ladder if using the 16ft version and is NOT safe for one person to adjust. Here's what I think the problem is: 1. Let's start by assembling the lower brace. First you need to remove what looks like two black studs on each side. They are injection molded PLASTIC and are quite durable. Break them out and remove them completely, otherwise you will NOT be able to insert the bottom support into the ladder. You will need a 10mm spanner to tighten and a crescent moon to hold the loose end while tightening, or another 10mm spanner.2. Once this is secure, you should know that there is nothing but a strap that keeps the ladder compact. So if you unbuckle the strap and try to move the ladder, it will try to move and expand on either side! The only lock is for the extended position, making it dangerous to adjust! You have to hold down two spring-loaded tabs to unlock, leaving no more hands to steady the ladder! USE TWO PEOPLE.3. If you try to use this on steps as a frame ladder, be VERY careful! There is NO way to lock the ladder sections unless they are extended. This can make stair adjustment very difficult! Again, use TWO PEOPLE!4. When this ladder is in the extended position of frame A, it is dangerous to lower it! It's much safer to put the ladder down and fold it down, or use TWO PERSONS!5. When extended, the ladder looks solid on the legs, but it is NOT a stable ladder. It has a lot of movement. Also, locks are pretty cheap and I wouldn't trust them for more than occasional use! In my opinion there are much safer and better ladders on the market. I do NOT recommend this ladder.
