Please note this is NOT Size XL or Blue as stated in the title. This review is about the big purple. This large size fits my boston terrier well in neck and girth. He's a very tall 40 lb boy, most Bostonians aren't that tall! Its chest is 25.5 inches long, its neck is 15.5 inches long, and its back is 17 inches long. It is worn over the head and fits snugly but comfortably around the neck. I love that it covers his chest and the side locks are very easy. They tuck in and stretch to snap in for a snug fit so they don't droop to pee. I didn't put the rear leg straps on as the back just lies there, the straps might not blow off in the wind, but I'm not sure how easy it is to put them on the back legs - I think you need to put them on the neck first and then stretch these straps through each back leg and depending on where the end of the back falls. As Lucca's back is a bit short (he has a very long body) and he also has long legs I suspect it might be difficult to put the straps on easily but I love this coat and the fit. Because of his build, he has a hard time finding clothes.
