Like many other families, my kids are very obsessed with Minecraft. It's one of the few things they can actually agree on. My husband loves making videos so it seemed like a really fun activity they could do together. There's only one problem: my children won't let him participate. They have too much fun playing and making movies with him. This set has been living on my kitchen table for over a week now. They created their own backgrounds to fit in the slot. My daughter had other Minecraft characters and they joined the party. They made their own Lego Minecraft style figures. Stegosaurus appeared. As a mother, watching them interact without drama and engage in imaginative play was priceless for me. I have no doubt that eventually they will connect with the app and get creative as well, but I'm willing to let them go for a while. while, even if it means Minecraft blocks and what looks like a pixelated pig next to breakfast cereal.
