I have purchased four of these plugs for my woodworking machines which are obsolete and in need of an electrical upgrade. I've used them on a 12GA, 3-wire power cord and they work great. Easy to open, connect and close. They come with inserts for the connector body to ensure good stability with cables of different sizes, which is very convenient. They also fit perfectly on my existing L6-30 sockets and cords. They are heavy and made to last.
