The best bandages on the market (my professional opinion)

Quick and easy to prepare. Holds up great. They don't let water through. They are very easy to remove. I am allergic to all glues commonly used on leather. If I've left it on for more than a day or two my skin will start to break down with rashes, redness, oozing and itching. But I can wear these Nexcare products for several days without any side effects. For those who don't know how to put on these unique bandages, here are some very quick instructions. First, tear up the paper and discard the half that isn't stuck to the bandage. Do not remove the strips on the edge of the dressing. Carefully remove the bandage from the other paper cover. They then keep the bandage with the strips intact. Gently place the bandage on the skin where you want to keep it. Gently tap all over your body. Finally, remove and discard the paper strips. I don't know for sure, but I suspect (an educated guess) that the transparent material that looks like plastic wrap is actually Tegaderm. It is a semi-permeable membrane specially designed for the skin. It allows oxygen to enter and moisture to escape. This process allows for healing without changing the dressing. Because of this, the likelihood of skin damage is also greatly reduced, as is the case with bandages from other brands. I am a nurse and similar products like this are used in hospital and for the same reasons.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
