Review on 🧽 Qiwip Sponge Mop: Hands-Free Self Wringer for All Floors, Retractable Minimalist Design, Always-Soft Head with Silicone Oil by Kim Tyger

The handle does not rotate forward/backward so only the edge of the sponge can be used

Instructions were not included with this mop. After playing with it for a few minutes, I was finally able to figure out how to assemble it. A piece of sponge had to be bent slightly to fit over the mop. I like the ability to compress the mop with the nozzle and the fact that it can be stored neatly in the outer sleeve. Although it looks stylish, it's nothing special. The sponge head feels a little on the bottom and grinds when wet so it can't slide smoothly. The mop head tilts sideways, but not forwards or backwards, and doesn't have a 360-degree swivel mechanism. Since the mop handle rotates neither forwards nor backwards, the sponge hardly touches the floor when wiping. This makes cleaning more difficult as you are literally using the edge of the sponge rather than the entire surface. One of the photos the company is promoting shows a woman using a mop and you can see that only the edge of the sponge can be used. It also causes nearby plastic to sometimes hit the ground surface if you use too much force. There is also some false advertising on the packaging as the product is listed as 'antibacterial' which is not true. It certainly does not contain any antibiotics to be labeled as such. I think a mop works better dry than wet, although you still have to use a broom to sweep up the dirt after piling it up.
