Review on 🔧 Korky 528MP QuietFILL Platinum Fill Valve: Easy-to-Install and Universal (USA Made) by Justin Bowen

UPDATE 6/17/17: Less than a month after installing this valve and I already have to replace it. The valve no longer fills the reservoir completely and requires two flushes to function. I replaced it with another Fluidmaster 400 and everything is fine again. ---------- ------------- -- I bought this to replace an old Fluidmaster 400 that still worked when not in use. This valve comes with the necessary accessories to connect it to various valve designs so that it fits most toilets. However, here is a list of pros and cons from my point of view: Pros: * Adapter for different damper designs (Mansfield, Kohler, etc.) * Adjustable water flow through built-in valve * Easy height adjustment CONS: * Louder than Fluidmaster 400 * Water leaks at the inlet valve connection off so I have to close the hose on the valve to stop it. For filling*, the Kohler adapter works, but placing the tube outside of the main inner tube makes bowl filling *incredibly* noisy. As for the last niggle, I used the filler tube from my old Fluidmaster 400 by heating one end under hot water for a minute and then fitting it over Corky's filler valve to seal. That way I could use the same tube and plug it into the canister tube, making the filling process easier. I will most likely replace it with another Fluidmaster 400 in the near future.
