Review on 🔌 Linksys CM3024 High Speed DOCSIS 3.0 24x8 Cable Modem - Comcast/Xfinity, Time Warner, Cox & Charter Certified (Modem Only, No WiFi) by James Bull

Great little cable modem for the price. I had an old Linksys CM100 DOCSIS 2.0 cable modem that was good for its time but needed replacing. I have Comcast that keeps telling me to upgrade my cable modem, but I haven't heard from them in a long time. Did some internet speed tests and got 34-35 on DL and 8 on UL on CM100. Now the CM3008 comes in, plug this bad boy in, which is very simple, and call Comcast to tell them the new MAC address for the new modem. After half an hour with a technician, they entered a new MAC address, registered the modem and synchronized it. I picked up the phone and ran another internet speed test and got a 90 on DL and 12 on UL. moral of the story. If you have an old cable modem (DOCSIS 2.0) and know your ISP wants you to upgrade to 3.0. DO THAT! You will enjoy much faster speeds!
