Bought 2 of these for my home designed/built coffee maker. The probes/cables worked well as they found a great place for both and the temperature readings respond very quickly and stabilize faster than other/thicker probes I've used. The problem is that the insulating fiber didn't stick at all. Of course I had one of the probes in the coffee so there was some friction and I was really worried it might be a problem but I didn't want to think about it too much. Soon enough, the fibers started breaking fairly easily and then just fell apart. Can't really complain as they may not have been designed for my use but I think the build quality should be more reliable for the price. I've now lost $60 and am going back to using stainless steel probes that have never let me down.
