Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ TESmart Dual Monitor KVM Switch with DisplayPort, HDMI, and 4K @ 60Hz - Supports 2 PCs and 2 Monitors (Black) by Andy Thorson

Worked for 3 days then died

I really wanted this KVM to work. It's compact, has a metal body, comes with cables and a remote control, and looks good. The packaging was well done - a step above the usual product packaging. The product and the included cables feel solid and initially work well. I first connected a 2K monitor using a DVI to HDMI cable and it worked fine. I then removed the 2K and replaced it with a single 4K monitor and everything worked without issue. I connected video via Displayport and HDMI ports and both worked. When connected to my laptop, KVM was smart enough to know when the laptop case was open and adjust its displays accordingly (laptop screen became primary, primary screen became secondary) without the icon's previous position on losing the laptop screen. I was very happy about this moment. However, after a few days of light use, it stopped showing videos entirely. Whether I used the Displayport connector or the HDMI connector, nothing showed up on the screen. Keyboard and mouse still worked, but video and audio (transmitted via HDMI) stopped working. Tried unplugging all cables and turning off the device, but to no avail. Tried to connect only one computer/monitor but still no video. I've never had the chance to pair 2K and 4K monitors together, so I can't comment on this feature. When KVM was running, it kept the icon's position when switching between computers, and the switch itself was fairly quick (about 3-5 seconds). I really wanted it to work, but it just didn't last long - even with very light use. Sent back for a refund.
