I switched from a 20 year old 3 blade electric razor that hasn't had a new blade in over 10 years. Changed due to the high cost of the blades. I know the old blades didn't work very well. I like the new razor but it doesn't cut as accurately as the triple blade. I hope to be able to change the blade on my new razor more often to keep it sharp. Would recommend but have been using an electric razor for over 20 years. I tried a foil shaver in the 70's but didn't like it. I have always used a rotor. I have a thick beard and my skin seems to tolerate the rotor better. Maybe I'll use them. I go in all directions and do the same spot many times with the rotor. So foil might work better if you use it as intended.
