Bought for a built in closet which I have reconfigured to have more hanging space. It was a great addition to be able to see all the items in the closet. They're sensitive to movement, but not too sensitive to constant triggering. I have no problem activating these lights. They are battery operated and I hang them on the wall with the tape that came with them and there is a magnet on the back so you can just pull the unit down and put it back on the wall to change the battery. I see many uses for this light - in the bathroom under the counter to illuminate the floor at night and even under the kitchen cabinet for a simple lighting solution.
