This unit was perfect for me to replace my stock top latch and doorknob as I just wanted something with a locking keypad (but on purpose NOT connected to WiFi) and with a vertical doorknob (as opposed to a round doorknob) and the additional use of a physical key. The oil paint we chose looks beautiful. The 4-piece outer keypad, outer door handle and inner door lever are all solid metal, and the inner latch/battery box is plastic body and solid black (color is not affected by oil). Fitting/installation was easy. It took me less than 1.5 hours to swap out the previous parts, install the new parts, and set up the keyboard as is with all my previously cut/drilled designs. Installing the bottom handle/lever was a little tricky to align inside and out to ensure the levers work properly before connecting both sides together. Installing the top block was much easier. Setting up the keyboard was very easy. I have no idea what "password snooping protection feature" is. Although it is mentioned on the product page, it is not included in the instructions that came with it. So you can ignore it and just set the passcode of your choice. All in all, if the spec is to your liking, this is a great buy. Highly recommended.
