Review on πŸ”„ ARO C38341 600 VS Air Filter Regulator Lubricator Combo by Sean Purnomo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good regulator/lubricator combination and after-sales service (supply of parts for repair) but broke just after warranty expired

Worked well for about a year before the pressure control knob started to leak. The main reason is a ruptured diaphragm. Contacted the manufacturer who diagnosed the problem and sent a service kit (P/N 104430 or 104431) free of charge the next day. The product was out of warranty. Very happy with it. The service kit included a diaphragm, washer, spring, and a plastic section with o-rings. Replacement was relatively easy, although the manufacturer's instructions were a bit vague. The part where I was confused by removing the top. I thought you would have to unscrew it from the inside, but the top only unscrews (I used a crescent wrench on the threaded top, it scratched the threaded part a bit, but I still don't use a locknut there). .) Also, the pressure gauge is very small and the arrows used to mark the on/off pressure of the compressor are not accessible without removing the snap cap, but you only have to do this once if you're worried . I rarely use an oiler but when I had it it worked. The water drain is very easy to use, you can just slide the rubber part that protrudes from the bowl to any side. The oil and water reservoirs are easy to remove, snap securely into place and appear to be well sealed (O-rings). The water bowl collects a surprising amount of water (I have to empty it about once a week with occasional use). Overall, I'm happy with the performance of the product and very happy with the customer service, but am concerned about its durability, specifically that the new aperture night won't last longer than the previous one. I hope it was just a defective membrane. Updated if repair fails.
