Okay, first things first because apparently even in the FAQ there is no clear answer as to which version is which. means NC (Normally Closed) - "Open Circuit Off" - NO (Normally Open) I have no idea why they can't use this common nomenclature. Now the real problem lies in their design, how the contacts turn on and off. I find it too complicated. As a result, with a circuit breaker, you have to push the ball almost all the way in for the circuit to break (open). Basically, this means that your door, window, or where you install that roller switch needs to rub against the face of that switch to ensure it pushes the ball all the way through and breaks the chain properly. Unlike simple NC push button switches where even a light touch will separate the contacts and break the circuit. I'm including a simple diagram of how a typical NC switch works so you can see how even the lightest button press turns the contacts off. So remember this is not a switch.
