My daughter and I take some of these mosquito nets with us when we go geocaching. We wear BugsAway clothing, which is excellent at keeping ticks and mosquitoes off the legs, torso and torso, but doesn't help much on the face and neck. We don't want to put any Deet-based repellent on the face. so we throw these nets over our heads when we collect a cache in the forest and there are no mosquitoes (that was the case all year this year). I'm sure I look silly but it's worth it as the mesh is great at keeping walkers out of your face. This works best for us if we wear a hat underneath so the mesh doesn't touch our face (small rats will bite through the mesh if it touches your skin). Take off your sunglasses and put a net on your head so you can see the road in the forest. The tight fabric also keeps the wind out a bit, making my face sweaty. The tight weave also protects against small mosquitoes and other small pests that hide in the forest with mosquitoes. We wash them after every use and so far they have held up well and should last a couple of seasons.
