My job involves a lot of physical activity so I don't need a heavy full-size workbench. It was meant to be a compromise and it fits the bill well. The table is surprisingly simple and well made. I was concerned that its light weight would make it wobbly or pliable, but it stands very stable on a flat garage floor. I didn't test it at 1000lbs, but I sat next to him (190lbs, plus maybe 20 for the tools and stuff I had with him) and he didn't seem to notice. Apart from that, but I've also used it for sawing and drilling. It's stable enough for all these activities. My favorite feature next to the table is the clamp guides. I figured they were just made for the included clips (which are useful but not particularly versatile). No, even better: they fit the standard C-clip from your hardware store. This means you can clamp objects vertically, not just horizontally. I can clamp my router table instead of bolting it on, which saves time when I just need to quickly route something before sawing or sanding. It has a small removable storage bin that snaps into place at the bottom. It's not a big deal to me, I'd rather have everything in my tool bag than crawling under my desk, but still nice to have. I keep the included small clamps there in case I need to clamp something horizontally. I've only had about a week to work on it, but so far I'm very happy with it. And they'll put it in the shed when I'm done. It's not going to replace your regular workbench if you have a real carpentry shop, but it's clearly not designed for that. No points are lost because he is not something he claims not to be. Ideal for placing in a temporary location or as an addition to other tables when you have an oversized work piece and need a second leg. Or as a compromise if, like me, you need to keep the weight of your toolbox as light as possible.
