Recently installed deck lights and needed a solution to turn them on and off from inside as they plug into an outlet on the outside deck. Found this outlet with a remote control. I didn't even know this product existed! It was perfect, the easiest option I can think of. I just plugged it into the outlet on the patio, then plugged the extension cord that the lights are plugged into into the remote control outlet and I had an immediate solution to my problem. Put the battery in the remote and taking an idea from a previous reviewer and use velcro to attach the remote to the wall inside and it works great as a light switch for my fairy lights! The video mentions the need to pair the remote and socket, it was already paired so nothing needed to be done other than plugging it in and inserting the included battery into the remote. Highly recommended.
