It is designed to cut off power until battery voltage drops to 10.5V. At 12.5v I get flashing lights and fan spikes even with just a 300w load. I bought it for a caravan to run some stuff but when camping it doesn't take long at all to charge the battery down to less than 12.5v. It needs to be over 13v before it will work even on a lighter one Load. Also, it consumes some battery power even when the switch is off. This is the minimum, 0.04 millivolts, but it can drain the battery if it sits for a few weeks. I had it hardwired to the battery and couldn't just unplug it. Potek customer service sucks. I tried calling them several times but all I got was a recording asking them to call back later. I have not received a reply to my email.
