This is a great water conditioner so I think it works better than regular or tetra but it's HUGE but it messes up all the salicylic ammonia tests Give acid base and false readings. So using something like the API's Liquid Ammonia test would render that test virtually useless. - Not a complete water conditioner. Don't use it on the slimy layer etc like you would use Prime - Great for reliable tap water treatment - Interferes with salicylic acid based ammonia tests
