Maybe the design for this for the 2018 JLU wasn't fully washed out. I do not know. But what I do know is that the installation takes more than a few minutes. And unless you have unlimited brute force, you'll need a second pair of hands to help with installation, and the bungee cords are very tight, making installation a real challenge. I'm currently only giving 3 stars because my setup was so disappointing. and it's still not fully installed. I'm just trying to convince myself to keep fighting it. So it's only 3 stars because I see potential, but also because I'm tempted to just remove it altogether so I don't mess with the other half. Update: I changed 3 stars to just one. I had trouble with more than just the installation when I first got this. I have had a sun visor since late October 2018 and have had to contact the company more times than I can count for more replacement windshield clips. The clamps detach quickly, periodically releasing the screen. After a few short months of using this product and feeling like I wasted my money, I'm now looking for better brands in the hope that I won't have this problem. I live in Florida where the sun shines consistently and shade is essential. This is not reliable. Spend your money elsewhere.
