Review on 🐠 XY-2831 Air Pump Sponge Filter for 10-Gallon Aquarium Tank: Efficient Filtration and Aeration by Kimberly Jackson

I have this filter in my 10 gallon betta and snail tank. Good.1. It doesn't create much water flow/current which is perfect for my fish.2. The suction power is strong enough to pick up dirt and pieces of food that pass nearby.3. Easy to install/configure.4. Bubbles look cute.Bad.1. Not that easy to clean: you can only wash one sponge at a time in the aquarium water so as not to disturb the growth of beneficial bacteria. In addition, algae grow on the plastic air hose and are also difficult to clean. Basically I have to disassemble the filter to scrape it off. Ugliness. 1. It's big: It takes up a good quarter of the back "wall" of my aquarium. So it hurts a little. I planted a few plants in front of it so it's not too visible but definitely something to watch out for. Don't forget.1. Take off the filter when changing the water/cleaning the fish tank.2. Take the plastic tube that is not included with the filter. Much luck!
