Bought this item for Dell G7 to increase memory. Fairly quick delivery and adequate packaging. I have read many reviews and seen that most were very positive, it is always expected to see a few negative reviews, especially at this price point there is always some risk involved. I bought this item thinking it would be a set of 2 x 8GB memory cards for a total of 16. I found out it is a 16 card when it is shipped and that is fine as it is is double row and theoretically works the same as 2 normal RAM memory cards. After reading the manufacturer's recommendations, I decided to only install this RAM and leave the other RAM slot free to avoid bugs, defects or damage due to incompatibilities between RAMs. I installed and used this RAM on the evening of February 2nd and used it for over 12 hours a day until the computer booted up on the morning of February 9th. The Dell G7 has a small light that flashes error codes and displays a memory error code. I removed the RAM from one slot and put it in another, the problem persisted. I removed the RAM and put in the factory RAM I used previously, it booted up and worked properly. This is an indication that this RAM will stop working after 6 days of use. I have to say that at the time the RAM was working, it was working fine and as advertised. I can't see any reason why the tappet could fail now that every precaution and care has been taken to ensure it works properly. My next step is to try replacing the memory under warranty as there was likely a factory defect on this particular card. Follow-up review: I ordered a return of the product and sent the RAM card through the return service. without additional costs. I got it back on time with no problems. Unfortunately I decided to try another manufacturer to replace this RAM which I had to send back but eventually I will try again as I said defects happen to everyone.
