Review on Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 12.1MP Digital Camera - 10x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom, 3-Inch LCD (Black) by Corey Randolph

BIG CAMERA AND EASY TROUBLESHOOTING.

PROBLEM SOLVED and still a great camera. I bought the 330 in November 2013 and had no problems until Valentine's Day 2015 in Thailand. I got the 'charging battery' screen which canon recognized as a major defect (they will exchange them for 340 free of charge) and give it a try. again during a recent trip to Europe. I was sad because along with the battery charging screen I also got a memory card failed error. It all happened on our first day in Portugal and I was forced to use my phone to take pictures. Another Amazon reviewer wrote that the battery charging issue could be solved by inserting a folded piece of paper between the battery and the flap where the battery and memory card meet. I've taken over 200 shots with no problems with the battery and also with swapping out an old memory card. I looked at 340 and didn't want a higher 16 pixels and had no other alternatives to replace 330. I like the size of the camera and the image quality, which is great for my frequent international travel. It takes great daytime shots in bright sunshine and overcast days, and more than adequate indoor shots. Before you send your camera back to Canon or throw it away, try the simple folded paper solution - it really works.
