Our cat is huge and has HUGE paws which she likes to scratch with so we change collars often. It got very tangled at first so we were worried but we trimmed the loose threads and it stopped after about a week. Since then it has held up very well. And the emergency release worked great when he tried to chase one of our cats under the bed and got caught (like I said, he's gigantic). Silver also looks good with his black coat. I was going to post a photo but it's quite hard to get hold of because it has a lot of fur so the collar is only visible from a few angles.
