The product itself is solid. Comfortable, durable (the base is metal, not plastic) and good quality overall. I would have given 5 starts if the footrest hadn't been defective. It has a little button that opens the base of the footrest, so it's springy. The problem was that it didn't compress or snap into place, so getting the footrest back under the chair was tiring. You have to hold it compressed (and it has a pretty strong spring) until you flip it and then it pops open again. No matter what I did or how hard I pressed the lock, it wouldn't close. The only way to get it back is to take it apart again and weigh the options, just fix the footrest issue - less hassle. *** UPDATE Had to send the first one back as the armrest was almost broken. Felt shaky from the start but I only put it down to him having to move his back. A month and a half has passed since the second and the chair is falling apart. The user weighs less than 200 pounds and is designed for home use, not the office. Both arms are broken (staggering like they're barely connected) and the back doesn't hold forward anymore. At least the footrest works. It is now too late to deal with Revain regarding this product and hope that the manufacturer will. On the other hand, it was very convenient for a month. uh
