It takes a little scrubbing, but burn rings or lead deposits on a stainless steel revolver will disappear, leaving only nice shiny stainless steel. Doesn't change the finish as far as I can tell. Cut it into about 9 squares if you plan to use it multiple times. Cut this way (3x3). Usually one or two parts are enough for me to make a revolver more or less error-free. More economical than messing everything up.
