Great filter 2016 EcoDiesel Ram.

This is actually the same as Mopar. The only thing is that the eBay seller of the same product will sell you 3 for $26. Maybe the difference is small, but a few dollars is a few dollars. You only get one so the price is reasonable when buying from Revain. I compared the Mopar original to this one and all measurements were accurate except for the top. Mopar has a flared edge and this one looks like a sawed pipe with a flat edge but it doesn't matter as you end up with a gasket. The media feels hard like a Mopar and the filtration could be a little better on a Mopar but the fact is you are using full synthetic oil so you can use that and not have filtration problems. EcoGard gives a guarantee on their products and they state online that for any damage caused by this they will pay to repair the car. We all know that traders only want that money, so the markup is very high, like everything when things are new. This was compared to a 2016 Ram EcoDiesel filter, not another. I've also tried the Pronto filter for Ram and they both work the same way. I haven't noticed any difference in filter performance, but I change the filter when the oil is halfway gone simply because I'm always in a very dusty landscape where the land is always farmed for all sorts of things. None of the plastic parts are broken, the EcoGard doesn't have a cage inside, but that's for shredding purposes only as the construction is the same. The fact that the cage is not anchored internally does not in any way affect the performance of the filter because, as said, the whole thing is only intended to be crushed by the medium as it passes through the filter. Don't be alarmed by the loose cage inside, mine spins freely and no problem. Many people say that this is and can be a problem, but that is not the case at all. The filter does what it's supposed to do, so wear it and spend less for a filter that's guaranteed to work. By the way, even when new, the stretcher smells the same on the mopar and on this ecoguard. The Mopar filter is made in China, so it can't even cost $30 in the real world.
