Scarf is soft, great color. However, the one I received is defective. It looks like something hot has been put on him that left an indelible mark on him. Another issue is the incredibly large adhesive manufacturer's label. There is no way to take it off without damaging the scarf, which means you have to maneuver the scarf so it doesn't pop up every time you put it on. The bottom line is there is a big issue with quality control. In terms of warmth, I would consider the scarf too tight and flimsy to be considered warm, especially in colder climates.
