Review on Winco SS 1211 Sharpening 12 Inch Medium by Kimberly Johnson

I needed a larger, double-sided, fine-grain stone to work on my utility blades before giving them the final finish. This works great for my purpose. Should be enough for me in the long run. I plan to take a 2x4 piece and route it for this stone and glue another shaped top edge to cover the stone almost directly on the work surface. I have a few sharpening stones: Norton, Sears stone, and diamond sharpening stones in various grits, but I just prefer a high-surface area stone for sharp-edged tools like the machete and hatchet I keep in my truck. After being outside where I have to wade through a forest path to fish, Machete takes a few hits to get him back to the best edge to clear the way. It's perfect for this, it just needs a base to hold it in place for sharpening. Mind you, this rock is heavy, about a pound or so. I like it.
