I've used the rotary tool I've seen in TV ads for years and it's been really economical. I had to press it fairly hard against my pet's claws to get it to work and as a result the grinding wheel often stopped turning because it wasn't strong enough. It took me a LONG time to trim my nails and I could never get them as short as needed. As a result, my pet's claws grew longer and longer. In the end I decided to upgrade and settled on the Dremel Lite 7760. I would have bought the Paw Control model (model #7760-PGK) but as it was out of stock I settled on the Lite 7760- version on my pet's claws and was immediately very pleased with how quickly it sharpened the claws. I have found that the lowest setting #1 is quite effective and setting #2 is better. I really like how you can customize the settings, that's a big plus. After about 10 minutes I shaved off all of my pet's nails and had to stop as I didn't want to go any further and expose my claws. I will continue to trim my nails regularly to get them to the right length and I now have the right tools to get the job done. I like this tool and recommend it to others. In return for my honest review, I get a free set of Dremel accessories.
