Needs the included adhesive pads to prevent sliding on a vertical surface

First off there is no way these have 140lbs of force, it can however lift a 10lbs iron weight fairly comfortably vertically it cannot handle 10lbs when being used like a coat hook unless you used the 3M adhesive pads included to hold it from sliding. That being said they were exactly what I needed to hang my headphones from the side of my metal desk and blend they in well in my office doing it.

Pros

No need to worry about traditional hooks falling or breaking

Cons

The hooks may leave marks or indentations on some surfaces
