I have this dry bag so I can take my phone, camera, towels, change of clothes and a few other things when I go to the beach. This is the perfect size. The pockets have a durable feel and they work by putting your stuff in, dropping the top a few times, then using the clips to close them. It keeps you dry and protects you from sand. I also really like the adjustable straps as I can very easily carry it over my shoulder and across my body for carry or I can clip it like a backpack. I also like that it has a front pocket for easy access to my phone or keys. This bag also protects the item. I used the side mesh water bottle pockets and they stayed in place all day. The Dry Bag is worth the money (I'll actually buy another one) and protects electronics, clothing and/or food very well in wet/wet/sandy conditions. This is great for protecting things (like your iPad) when you go to the beach.
