It only took me 2 years to learn the truth about keeping the aquarium balanced and the fish alive and happy. I now have a 36 gallon front tank with about 17 Molly, Platy, White Skirt Tetra and Julia Corey fish. The filtration is carried out by two HOB AquaClear 50 filters, each with a foam pre-filter and a sponge and Fluval BioMax media (no activated carbon filter and no foam substitute).
