Buyers Beware: Switch Failure, Fire Hazard

Posting this announcement is for safety purposes and to warn other customers of the risk of fire from electrical current. I bought the mounts about three weeks ago and have had no problems. I installed three Edison drop down lights and they looked and worked great. I had my light on for 6 hours today (I've done this before) when the switch shorted out, overheated and melted the plastic casing (see photo) and severely damaged the wiring inside. I discovered it by smelling for him. was ended. The light switch was two inches from the curtains so luckily it could have been worse.
