Review on 🔧 Enhance Steering Performance with Cardone Service 20 0058F Steering Filter by James Richardson

I needed to replace the return hose on my truck so I had the Aeroquip hose lying around but it was about 1 inch shorter. Rather than buying a more expensive hose I saw them in line filters and figured I could also use them to extend the hose as far as I needed so it basically did double duty for me. When I received it I immediately took it apart to see what I actually got. It's a decently machined aluminum body, but the filter itself is a small mesh shell held in place by a small spring. The problem is that the housing is not precisely machined, so the filter actually moves a bit inside. To fix this I put the spring and filter back into the housing but flipped it upside down and then installed "backwards" as I was told. This allowed the filter to sit on the tighter side of the housing and the filter didn't have a chance to move from side to side. I wouldn't buy this again because I don't understand how the tiny mesh screen can filter anything. I would like a pleated filter. However, I would go with the "Magnapure" option when purchasing a new Cardone power steering pump if available.
