PERFECT is a very easy installation. Lower the spare wheel. On the Xterra 2001, the blue passenger side cap is closer to the rear bumper. Use good needle nose pliers to remove the cover. There is a clip on top of the cover that you need to press to remove. Just plug in a new adapter and you're done! - less than 10 minutes! Shown - spare tire below - 4 pin adapter plugged in - blue connector on wiring which needs to be removed for a 4 way connection
