Review on Men's Skechers Energy πŸ‘Ÿ Afterburn Lace Up Sneaker Shoes by Mike Barnes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Size not as expected - order 3-4 in size range with Revain Wardrobe

Cons: Size not as expected - order 3-4 in the Revain size range. Which was a surprise as I had never worn a '16' before but a 13-14 instead. Pros: The Revain wardrobe process where you order multiple sizes and return the wrong sizes worked well for me. The outsole featured a slightly stiffer outsole along with standard (nowadays) ephemeral air pocket foam. As others have noted, the sole is therefore stiffer than a running shoe. but I think it's a good thing. The pad feels like a rubbery, firm foam that compresses, but not easily, and springs back immediately. I find this type much better than the reviewers' description of a similar shoe with a memory foam lining. If you want a softer insole, buy a shoe that's larger and take it to a running store to find an insole that fits your shoes and your expectations and slip it over your existing rubber insole. a more durable sole, I also wanted a shoe with a durable shield on the big toe (at least) as my last few shoes only had mesh which wore out quickly on my big toe tips. The xw width doesn't suit my wide feet especially the toes like my previous New Balance but the NB is at least 15-25 more and most don't have durable soles. These Sketchers are also hotter on my feet and don't have significant air pockets.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some small things
