Updated: May 30, 2021 I've found that I don't need a power cord for the gateway. I like the keyless entry. I set us all up for fingerprints. I can't figure out how to get the password to work. I installed one and when I tested it the code doesn't work. I also can't open the door from my phone when I'm at home 3 hours away. I thought that with the gateway I could unlock the door from my phone. I really like this door lock. We bought it for rent but there are points I disagree with.1. I don't like that he needs a gateway to set codes etc when we are 3 hours away at home. It's not entirely clear from the description that it needs a gateway, which is why I didn't buy one. I needed that when using Alexa, which we don't have. I have to let someone in next week and can't generate a passcode for them from my house 3 hours away so now I have to buy a gateway, take a day off work and drive 3 hours to the cottage to set up the gateway so my phone for what i need can connect with the lock.2. I had my fingerprints done last week while I was at the country house and everything was fine. I left and when I came back I tried to open the door with my fingerprint but it didn't work so I had to use the real door key instead. Hmm.3. I also found out that there was no power cord when I bought the gateway, which I don't understand and find it ridiculous for the amount of money I spent on the lock and gateway.4.
