I bought this little blender for the office - my real office. Sometimes I want a smoothie for lunch or just a cold drink with ice. For the price it really couldn't be better. Other similar personal little blenders seem to sell for over $40/$45, and those pathetic little blender jars that run on batteries are about $25 and don't work at all (I know a few people in my office use them ). The thing WORKS! It's not that loud. I mean, if I used it all day every day, I'm sure those sitting on either side of my office wouldn't like it. But it makes about as much noise as my paper shredder. That's what they'll probably think when I use it. Also, it works so well that I don't need to use it for long periods of time, so it's really perfect for my office use. He even breaks ice (which really impressed me and I really didn't expect him to be able to do that). It mixes vegetable powders and protein powders as well as real fruits with ease - this thing can crush ice too! I love that it comes with two containers as I can always keep one in the fridge with filtered water and the other empty waiting for me to add my treats. They are also easy to clean - down to the smallest detail. I keep parts in my office drawer for easy access when I need them.
