Review on 🔒 Spectre Performance 42563: Durable and Reliable Stainless Steel Hood Pin Clip by Junrey Jewel

While working on my battered old 91 S-10 Blazer I decided to take a break. And a storm came up - the wind lifted the hood, and then it did not latch. I ordered these just in case. In the meantime I removed the hinges, folded them back to roughly their original shape and managed to put the hood back on, albeit with some difficulty. After a few incidents where a battery cable loss caused a starting failure, I installed them. They work great and are easy to install. The only suggestion I would give to the manufacturer would be to drill a second hole in the bottom for the cotter pin to hold the bottom nut in case it comes loose. Locknuts would be a problem with this build, but a pin would be great to prevent losing the nut and hood opening if the nut comes loose. The same dirt roads that loosened my battery cable and many other fasteners on the car will eventually loosen these nuts. Great product though!
