I used these doors for something they weren't designed for (like I saw my dad do years ago). I remodeled my kitchen and moved the stove built into the cabinet and countertop where the fridge used to be. I wanted a big fridge, but by the late 1970's they were smaller. I painted the shutters a color that (almost) matched my closets and used two blinds to fill the hole. They were PERFECT. After adding a new countertop for this part of the countertop and installing a double pull out bin, the space was complete. I then used ceramic tile to tile all of the countertops and create the backsplash. These blinds are lightweight but extremely strong and easily accept the hinges I had to use to mount my old cabinets. I would recommend these shutters to anyone for almost any purpose. . Please note that most of this company's products are made to order. The extra weeks of waiting are worth the quality!
