This 2022-era smartphone was gifted to me as a replacement for a cheap noname model. I did a lot of research (video and written) before making a purchase. Several people raised concerns. Nevertheless, overall, the phone was quite pleasant. The gyroscope is the only item that isn't functioning properly. Although this is not absolutely required, it is useful on occasion. It has a gyroscope that seems a little glitchy. It rattles when you view a 360 video on YouTube, even though I'm not shaking the phone; it twitches when you turn the camera; I have no idea why, but I'll go online for a calibration solution. The camera performs admirably given the cost. There is a point of reference for me. My old phone made things even worse. And this place is a welcome change of pace. Not the best, but adequate for use on social media. The battery is undoubtedly the best feature. The phone's battery was only 60% depleted over the day (from a full charge of course; the next day it would be 40% depleted). The display consumes a lot of power, however the phone will last for a very long time if it is left in standby mode. It was discharged by 1% overnight when set on economy mode. The display is satisfactory for the cost. Again, on my previous smartphone, the colors and contrast were different. On the other hand, I disabled the redmi's automatic brightness right away. The display is rather dim.
