Who needs their ram to be bright and look like you could throw it across the room in a killer's eye in your window? The answer is no! It sits upright on the motherboard, and 99.99% of the time you'll only see the top anyway, unless you're the kind of person who actually takes your computer apart to show your friends each part one at a time. Since I'm not that type, this Ram was perfect for me! It's the same great ram that Crucial makes, it just lacks the aerodynamic properties of the plastic shell to make it usable as mentioned before, but more importantly, it's cheaper! This kit contains 4 sticks, 2 separate boxes each containing a compatible pair of Ram. That means, and I'm sure you'll be installing them on a motherboard that actually has at least 4 RAM slots, that you'll want to "keep the sticks together". So when I installed them on my motherboard, I opened a box, took out two brackets and installed them in slots 1 and 2 because the manual that came with my motherboard says that's where they need to be placed. Then I opened the second box, took the other two sticks of ram and installed them in slots 3 and 4, again because the instructions said so. It is very important to keep two pairs of Rams "together" on the motherboard as they have been tested within given parameters for maximum compatibility with each other. So if you mix them up once in the computer, it won't do you any good. You may have noticed that throughout this review I put quotes around the word "together" because not all motherboards are set up equal, so you'll need to read the included manual to find out the best way to install 4 RAM sticks. to keep them paired.
