This is a cheap beginner kit that is good if you are wanting to dip your toes in and see if you like this craft. This gives you a nice variety at a very cheap price to see what you like, use, and need to order more of. If you like doing this, you will want to upgrade your awl. The one in the kit will work, but it’s not easy. I thought more of the colors were waxed, but looking back I see the majority of the colors are just upholstery thread and not waxed. This is my mistake I missed that, but I wanted to point it out in case anyone else missed it as well.
