After finding a YouTube video I ordered this size (3/8 inch) window seam to fix my leaking rear window on my 98 Ford Ranger. It was leaking for a long time and it was at the previous owner's house causing surface rust on all internal metal parts and a few internal electrical problems that were expensive to fix. I ordered this item, it arrived and I started working on the truck. My truck has a single cab with a three piece sliding rear window and it worked great. Before working with this I put the window weld in the freezer and didn't take it out until I had removed all the old weatherstrip from my window. Then I put it on, which was a lot easier with cold than warm (relieves stickiness temporarily). Then after it was warmed up I put it back in the truck, slowly tightened the window screws and let the truck sit in the sun for about an hour. I let it sit and pulled it even tighter until they were snug. Also, I occasionally put a window in the frame on the back that helped close the sealing gap. I installed it in July 2021 and it is now February 2022 and I can successfully report that it has stayed sealed for over 6 months. I would definitely recommend this product, especially us 90's Ford guys who factory fitted these windows! Other customers seem to have had shipping/condition issues with the product upon receipt, personally I have not experienced this and it arrived in new condition. My only complaint is that the box itself that the seal came in had a small window in the front so you could feel the product, which I found odd. It looks like dust and other substances could get in there and possibly contaminate the seal. Anyway, I had some left over and wrapped it in a plastic bag for future use.
