Overall Sleek Panset

Overall this is a good watercolor set for beginners and could be a good travel set. I have one with 24 colors and they come with a #3 pointed brush/eyeliner, 2 mixing bowls and 2 more slots (up to 8 extra bowls or you can put in about three 8ml tubes. The colors are vibrant with good pigmentation and with varying opacity/translucency.I did a color swatch and some of the colors were a bit grainy and didn't fill well.I compared the Viridium shade between the shell and the tube and the tube gives a much more even fill and the Pan has traces of pigment (see image, top right corner is the viridian from the tube). This may be due to the pigments in the cuvettes being drier than those in the tube and this may improve with more use, I will be back with an update Each color was individually wrapped in plastic and many fell out of the pan. I found it very time consuming and difficult to select - unfold - to first fasten, then I realized that it's better to just take the entire section and move each of the four half-fingers in front of tsami (saves so much time and spares your fingers! ) A paint cube can easily stick to its half if you put a little water on the bottom and then pour the paint.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No car
