I've been waiting (and on WiFi 6) to jump on the mesh bandwagon... and I'm so glad I did. In a two story, 1,400 square foot home on one level. I tried aftermarket antennas on our router, moving it about 40 feet with an ethernet cable. Migration to new routers. and nothing could deliver a good signal with decent bandwidth throughout the house. Good news. The installation of the NetGear mesh system not only took 5 minutes, the coverage and speed are the same all the way. Best money I've ever spent on networking equipment. Don't be intimidated by the complex engineering and the spooky name "Grid". I suspect anyone who can follow a few steps can do it in minutes.
